This illustration captures a peaceful moment at a Taiwan National Day ceremony: the national flag rises above a crowd as the sun appears behind Taipei’s skyline. The “Happy Double Tenth Day” message makes it suitable for a greeting card, personal blog or social media post.
Double Ten Day is observed on 10 October. It commemorates the Wuchang Uprising of 1911, which helped start the Xinhai Revolution and led to the founding of the Republic of China in 1912. Taiwan’s celebrations may include flag-raising ceremonies, performances and parades; events vary from year to year.
