This colourful illustration captures the excitement of Taiwan National Day, with Taiwan flags, a cheering crowd and aircraft painting red, white and blue trails across the sky. Its bold “Happy Birthday” message and 10 October date make it a festive image to share for Double Ten Day.
Observed on 10 October, Double Ten Day marks the anniversary of the 1911 Wuchang Uprising, which helped spark the Xinhai Revolution and the founding of the Republic of China in 1912. Celebrations in Taiwan may feature official ceremonies, performances and an air display; fireworks and parade events can vary by year and location.
